Entering into the lease allows TRAC Intermodal, an intermodal equipment provider and chassis pool manager serving domestic and international shippers, to consolidate its headquarters from two locations into one. Renovations are in-progress and TRAC expects to move into the premises during the first quarter of 2015.

The Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP) New Jersey Chapter awarded the Sandoz US Headquarters Relocation with the 2015 Impact Award at its 28th annual gala. The award recognizes firms that have a significant impact on New Jersey’s commercial and industrial real estate development industry and are distinguished industry trendsetters. The relocation provides a stellar example of New Jersey’s existing office inventory being repositioned for next-generation requirements. Cushman & Wakefield coordinated both the building’s lease (simultaneous to its purchase by Ivy Equities) and subsequent trade to ARC. Involved in the deal: Cushman & Wakefield, Ivy Equities, American Realty Capital, Sandoz Inc., and Princeton University/Picus Associates.

Beacon Medical Realty has broken ground on latest addition to Princeton Forrestal Center, the Forrestal Professional Center Phase II. This ±40,300 square foot medical office building is situated in a highly desirable area, in close proximity to Penn Medicine’s University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro and adjacent to the Life Time Athletic complex. After the success of the neighboring Forrestal Professional Center Phase I medical office building, construction of Phase II commenced late in 2017 and is scheduled to continue during 2018 with occupancy early in 2019. Involved in the project: an affiliate of Beacon Medical Realty, Menlo Engineering Associates and Princeton University/Picus Associates.

At the National Precast Concrete Association’s (NPCA) 2015 Precast Show in Orlando, Florida, Atlantic Concrete Products Inc. received honorable mention in the Underground Category of the Creative Use of Precast (CUP) Awards competition. The project involved the installation of a box culvert that allows Harry’s Brook to flow under the new connector road being constructed within the Nurseries section of Princeton Forrestal Center. Involved in the project: Atlantic Concrete Products Inc., Pillari Brothers Construction Corp., Van Note-Harvey Associates, Ransom Consulting Engineers and Scientists, and Princeton University/Picus Associates.

Germany based Evotec has entered into a new lease agreement for 11,500 square feet of research, development and laboratory space at 303 College Road East within the College Park Campus at Princeton Forrestal Center. Evotec is a high-quality provider in the drug discovery industry and will use the new offices for the expansion of protein production capabilities initiated in the United States to serve a major Pharma-partner on the East Coast. Evotec’s new laboratory is expected to become operational in the first quarter of this year and will provide capacity for up to 40 employees. The new laboratory space complements the company’s expansion at their European facilities and is intended to meet an increasing need for services to their collaboration partners and general growth in this area.

Patheon parent DPx has purchased Gallus BioPharmaceuticals, which includes the ±57,000 square foot facility at 201 College Road East located within the College Park Campus at Princeton Forrestal Center. The site has specialized in process development and clinical manufacturing by offering exceptional contract services. Patheon is a leading provider of contract development and commercial manufacturing services to the global pharmaceutical industry for a full array of solid and sterile dosage forms. DPx was created earlier this year by the $2.6 billion merger of Patheon and Netherlands-based DSM Pharmaceutical Products. The space is leased by landlord National Business Parks.

Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) has received Final Site Plan approval from the South Brunswick Township Planning Board to construct an electrical substation with the Princeton Forrestal Center. The substation will promote the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity to the public-at-large and increase the capacity of electricity that can be delivered to the area. This will better prepare PSE&G to deliver electricity to the anticipated commercial and residential growth in the area. PSE&G is one of the largest combined electric and gas companies in the United States and is also New Jersey’s oldest and largest publicly owned utility serving nearly three-quarters of the state’s population.

Mills + Schnoering Architects is a full service architectural firm dedicated to design that contributes meaningfully to the built environment, and to the preservation of significant historic structures. Their focus is cultural buildings of all types, including theaters and museums; public buildings; campus planning and design; and the preservation and rehabilitation of historic buildings, with a particular focus on the restoration and adaptive use of mid-century Modern structures.
