CNA Financial Corporation has entered into a lease agreement with landlord Mack-Cali in the ±158,000 square foot four-story office building located at 500 College Road East at Princeton Forrestal Center. The newly coined Princeton office houses professionals from CNA’s Commercial, Specialty, Claim, Litigation Counsel, Law, Information Technology and Worldwide Field Operations units, and is one of CNA’s largest offices among its network of 49 offices in the United States, 5 in Canada and 14 in Europe and Asia. CNA is the country’s eighth largest commercial insurance writer and the fourteenth largest property and casualty company.

Coface (Compagnie Franaise d’Assurance pour le Commerce Extérieur), has entered into a lease agreement with landlord TH Real Estate for 26,900 square feet of space in the 170,000 square foot four-story office building located at 650 College Road East at Princeton Forrestal Center. Entering into the lease allows Coface, to relocate their North American Headquarters into quality space, within a well-located, amenity rich environment. Coface anticipates moving into the premises during the first quarter of 2018. Coface is a credit insurer operating globally, assisting companies trade safely around the world by offering solutions to protect them against the risk of financial default of their clients, both in their domestic and export markets.

Realignment of the College Road West and Seminary Drive intersection, a busy vehicular through-fare, is complete. This major infrastructure project included the relocation of primary distribution services for gas, water, electric, cable and telecommunications. Enhanced project coordination with the utility companies and Township officials ensured limited disruption to traffic throughout the project. The reconfigured intersection promotes improved roadway and pedestrian safety plus the continued development of the Princeton Forrestal Center. Final paving and striping occurred during the fall of 2017. Primary project team members include: general contractor Pillari Brothers Construction, civil engineer Van Note-Harvey Associates, and project management Picus Associates.

Earlier this year, Torque Therapeutics and Thermo Fisher Scientific announced a collaboration to build a state-of-the-art facility at 201 College Road East at Princeton Forrestal Center. The new facility will be utilized for the manufacturing of a new class of cell therapeutics to dramatically expand cell therapy cures for cancer. Buildout of the 10,000 square-foot facility has begun, and it is set to come online and commence processing patient cells by the end of 2019. Thermo Fisher Scientific is a biotechnology product development company and Torque Therapeutics develops immunotherapies to address cancers. This initiative represents another example of the continued growth of the Life Sciences sector at Princeton Forrestal Center.

Life Time Fitness recently received approval and broke ground on a 120,000 square foot health and fitness center that will feature fitness areas, instruction studios, salon, food court, large child center, and indoor/outdoor pools. A privately held company, Life Time Fitness operates a portfolio of 122 distinctive resort-like destinations centers in 26 states and 35 major markets and is recognized as a comprehensive healthy living, healthy aging and healthy entertainment lifestyle company that offers a personalized and scientific approach to long-term health and wellness. When completed in 2018, this new facility will be a great addition to the amenity base within the Princeton Forrestal Center environment. Involved in the deal: LTF Real Estate Inc., Cushman & Wakefield, Princeton University and Picus Associates.

Advaxis, Inc. a clinical stage biotechnology company unveiled a 30,000-square-foot expansion designed to manufacture clinical-grade products to support Advaxis’ clinical trials and future commercialization of its immuno-oncology therapeutics. New Jersey Governor Christopher J. Christie and BioNJ President and Chief Executive Officer Debbie Hart were present to celebrate the completion of this new state-of-the-art clean-room manufacturing and laboratory facility with a ribbon-cutting event before close to 200 people. This new facility is an exciting addition to the impressive list of existing research and development facilities within the Princeton Forrestal Center.

Beacon Medical Realty has achieved full occupancy of the newly constructed Forrestal Professional Center I medical building located at 10 Forrestal Road South at Princeton Forrestal Center. Construction of this 40,300-square-foot building was completed during the summer of 2014. Strategically located in close proximity to the new state-of-the-art University Medical Center at Princeton in Plainsboro, this new medical office building consists of up to 16 tenant spaces geared toward doctors in a variety of specialties, and provides University Medical Center at Princeton doctors with ancillary offices. The property was developed by Beacon Princeton Forrestal MAB Associates and Beacon Medical Realty Investments II LP, developers of medical office buildings, along with the principals of industrial developer Summit Associates Inc.
